The Billericay School GCSE Exam Results 2025 - Year 11

Billericay School Celebrates Best Ever GCSE Results

Students and staff at The Billericay School are celebrating an exceptional set of GCSE results this year, marking the school’s best ever overall attainment across all subjects.

This year, the school recorded its highest percentage of students achieving grades 9 to 4 in both English and maths, representing a 2% rise on the previous year and reflecting the sustained hard work of students and staff alike.

Headteacher, Patrick Berry praised the achievement:

We are incredibly proud of this year’s GCSE cohort. These results are a testament to the dedication of our students, the commitment of our staff, and the support of our families as part of the Billericay community. It’s particularly encouraging to see that sustained trend of improvement in examination results including such strong progress in core subjects and an uplift across the board.

The school is also celebrating significant success among its disadvantaged students. Thanks to a focused pupil premium strategy, the average attainment for these students rose by over a third of a grade in every exam taken – a clear indicator of the positive impact of targeted support and intervention.

The number of students achieving top grades at Billericay School also continues to rise, with more students than ever before securing grade 8s and 9s. Remarkably, the 'gold standard' grade 9 was awarded in 24 different subjects, showcasing academic excellence across a wide curriculum.

Mr Berry added:

These results are about more than numbers – they represent the resilience, aspiration, and talent of our young people and staff. Many of these students will now continue their journey with us in our Centre of Excellence Sixth Form, following in the footsteps of so many of our previously successful cohorts. We’re excited to support them as they build on this strong foundation and strive for even greater achievements.

There are a number of incredible individual performances that deserve recognition, not only those achieving straight A*s, but also those who have overcome obstacles and challenges throughout their studies.  We have a large number of students who have secured places at some of the most prestigious universities and employers, and now make their way into bright futures.

These achievements would not have been possible for our students without the support of parents/carers.”

“We are immensely proud of our students and the excellent A Level results they have achieved this year.  These outcomes are a testament to their dedication, perseverance and ambition, and to the positive way in which they have embraced every opportunity and challenges throughout their Sixth Form journey.
