Year 10 Battlesfield Trip

38 Year 10 and 12 students travelled to Belgium and France to learn about the First World War. They visited museums, First World War cemeteries and battlefield sites.

Whilst in Belgium, our students were able to lay a wreath at the Last Post ceremony. The Last Post ceremony has been held at 8.00pm every night at the Menin Gate since 1928. Four of our students took part which was a privilege and an honour for the school.

The whole trip gave the students the chance to learn about the history of the First World War and to consider the way that remembrance takes place.
