Work Experience
According to a report from the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, 74% of employers think that experience is important when they make decisions about hiring. With this in mind, and knowing that students who have had ‘real world’ experiences of work are more likely both to achieve better qualifications and make even better decisions about their futures, we run a compulsory one week work experience programme for all students in Year 10. This academic year, this will take place from Monday 2 June until Friday 6 June 2025.
This page contains information to support families and students with work experience.

Work Experience Update January 2025
The school is using the UNIFROG careers platform to co-ordinate the work experience process – collecting relevant contact information, ensuring legal requirements are satisfied, obtaining parental consent and final approval from the school for work experience to go ahead for each student.
All Year 10 students have received login in details for Unifrog. If they have misplaced or forgotten them, they can reset their password from the Unifrog launch page (https://www.unifrog.org/sign-in). Their username will be their school google email address and they can request to reset password / resend welcome email.
Information on the work experience process (including what questions students will need to answer on their placement application) can be found in the presentation above and from Unifrog via these links:
